Two participants of the Gulangyu Science-Policy Dialogue "Modeling Urban Health for Policy and Action" April 28-29, 2016, applied their insights gained, collaborated and initiated two workshops with the city of Murg, Germany on:
"Future-oriented problem solving for sustainable mobility in Murg", a unique pilot project for climate protection which took place on 16-17 June, 2017, with participation of citizens. The aim of the workshop was to identify drivers of climate change and create an awareness of the complexity of influencing variables which drive climate change.
"Collective Learning for Climate Protection through Interconnected Thinking" held 30 June - 1 July, 2017. The event was prominently covered by local media. Participants learnt the foundations of interconnected thinking and complex systems and identified possible interventions for sustainable urban development for health and wellbeing.
