Xiamen Held Its First URBAN HEALTH Science Culture Slam to Promote the Popularization of Scientific Communication

March 22, 2019, ICS international programme on Urban Health and Wellbeing (UHWB) together with Boshc Lecturer-Program in Asia held the first Xiamen Science Culture Slam at Xiamen Tadpole Ecological Space. The activity invited 6 speakers from Xiamen University and Insitute of urban Enivronment (IUE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to share their scientific experiences and works to the public. More than 50 people from different education background have participated the event. Science Slam is a scientific talk where scientists present their own scientific research work in a given time frame in front of a non-expert audience. The focus lies on teaching current science to diverse audience in an entertaining way.
