The Ecosystem Approach and Systems Thinking 

The solutions to the most pressing environmental challenges of our time demand an integrated focus that embraces the ecosystem approach adopted by the United Nations over two decades ago.. In this course, we will introduce students to the complexity of contemporary problems, introducing students to the basic concepts behind systems thinking and the ecosystem approach, to many of the most important ecosystems that support life today, and to cross-cutting issue areas we all need to consider moving forward.
